I went out to look for the special moon. I looked up at the sky and walked around a lot. I walked and walked, but the sky was cloudy. The last time the blood moon was visible was twenty four years ago. In the end, we didn't get to see it.

Creating these songs was a challenge that holds a lot of personal significance to me. These are my first honest attempts at making music on my own, after years of letting myself feel trapped by the rules of my music theory background, while also overwhelmed by the wide world of genres that I love and wished I could tap into. With the exception of one field recording and two pieces of dialogue, all sounds in these songs stem from classical guitar recordings run through reverb and delays, isolating specific frequencies to gather distinct textural layers. The process from start to finish was very slow for me, but it marks my coming out of a year long depression. I hope the person I am now stays free from the creative constraints I used to keep myself in.
