Deathwish:
Conceptually, this started coming together in 2018. Between the beat, melodies, and lyrics I had the song written for the most part but wasn’t doing much with it at the time. I looped in my good friend Shiloh Wilk to perform guitar on the chorus about a year after sitting on it and the track started to grow legs from there. Deathwish is an expression of despair but I cannot help but want to shuffle my feet and dance when I hear it.

Everytime:
Back in March I was struggling to write new material and decided it might be fun to pivot and actually cover this Britney Spears ballad. By April I had the wheels in motion and was completely leaning into it 100%. Everytime is such a cleverly written catharsis and the original recording is an absolutely transcendent banger. I hope my take on it is as enjoyable to hear as it was to create. FREE BRITNEY.
